Anli Genu

Born in 1958 in Meihua Village of the Atayal indigenous people in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu, Taiwan, Anli Genu, who also goes by his Chinese name Lai An-lin, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Chinese Culture University and the School of Visual Arts in New York. As both a formally trained artist and pastor, he integrates contemporary artistic vocabularies with Indigenous knowledge systems through spiritual expression. He has served as a consultant to the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and has made a significant contribution to the development of Indigenous art in Taiwan.
