Chen Yi-che

Graduating from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts in 2018, Chen Yi-che initiated the art project No. 5, Lane 18 project in Tamsui, expanding his community-based practice through curatorial projects and collaborations with grassroots organizations. His work has long focused on the gathering and dispersal of artistic and cultural scenes across Taiwan. In recent years, he has co-published the alternative art publication The Praxis of Hetero-Space with Chen Hsiao-chi, continuously documenting heterogeneous spaces and artists’ lived practices across different places through images and writing. He currently lives and works at Rooftop (Tiantai) Studio in Sanchong.
