Fang Wei-wen

Born in Brunei in 1970, Fang Wei-wen moved to Taiwan in 1988. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Tunghai University and the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts, and is currently living in Tainan. His work encompasses painting and installation, and he often using symbolic landscapes to evoke a sense of nostalgic longing for home, while exploring self-identity and cultural identity through spatial and discursive approaches. In 2000, he participated in a residency at the 18th Street Arts Center in Los Angeles, USA.
