Huang Zhi-yuan

Huang Zhi-yuan is the founder of Honglaizai (Penglai) Studio. Trained in anthropology and traditional architectural painting under Pan Yueh-hsiung, he specializes in door-god and temple murals. Since establishing his studio in 2020, he has worked on temple painting and restoration projects across Taiwan, with a focus on integrating ethnographic perspectives with traditional craftsmanship and a commitment to preserving folk beliefs and cultural heritage.
