Karolina Breguła

Karolina Breguła is a visual artist, filmmaker and educator. Her work explores art, architecture, and urban spaces through anthropological and sociological perspectives, with a particular interest in storytelling, memory, fiction, and imagination. She creates narratives collaboratively with participants and examines the ways art intersects with social and political realities. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including at the CCA in London, the Jewish Museum in New York, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, and Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, as well as at major international events such as the Venice Biennale, the Singapore Biennale, and the Gothenburg Biennale. Her work has also received numerous awards, including the Views Deutsche Bank Foundation Award, Samsung Art Master, and the Golden Claw at the Gdynia Film Festival. Breguła lives in Szczecin, Poland, and has maintained close ties with Tainan for more than a decade.
