Lee Jo-mei

Born in Taipei in 1985, Lee Jo-mei works primarily in drawing and sculpture. She is adept at finding evocative landscapes of memory within everyday experiences and performing close observation of subtle details. Since 2015, she has turned her attention to the exploration of nature and material research. Through close observation of plants and their delicate forms, she explores an intimate, microscopic perception of botanical time. Her works convey a subtle and distinctive sense of poetry.
