Liang Jen-hung was born in Anding, Tainan, in 1957, and graduated from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts. Liang's art encompasses mixed media, welded steel sculpture, and environmental installation. His long-term experience of commuting between Kaohsiung and Tainan has served as an important source of inspiration for his work, which consists of kinetic sculptures incorporating elements of industry, religion, nature, and life. Through mechanical movement and audience interaction, Liang explores social emotions and questions of life, and hopes to establish a dialogue between machinery and humanity.
