Liao Xuan-zhen
Biography
Liao Xuan-zhen (b. 1993, Kaohsiung) and Huang I-chieh (b. 1992, Tainan) have collaborated since 2015. Their practice encompasses moving images, installations, public interventions, and community-oriented projects, and focuses on social resistance, historical memory, and intergenerational dialogue. Their works include Qianjiang Yanpai, Paper Architecture, Swallow Cave, and Temple of Democracy. They have participated in the Yokohama Triennale, the FIDMarseille International Film Festival, and the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival. They received First Prize of the Taoyuan Creation Award and have been finalists twice in the Taishin Arts Award.
