Lin Po-liang (b. 1952), born in Zuoying, Kaohsiung, is a Taiwanese photographer who has used photography to document Taiwan’s society, culture, and literary figures over the course of several decades. Beginning in 1998, he embarked on the photographic project Countenances of Literature: Portraits of Literary Giants of Taiwan, which portrayed such prominent writers as Yeh Shih-tao. Lin's work combines documentary photography with a deep sense of humanistic concern, preserving the writers’ lived presence and the memories of their time, while serving as a valuable visual archive of Taiwanese literary history.
