Peter Baran

Peter Baran (b. 1993, Slovakia) creates sculptures and installations primarily using concrete, a material he considers fundamental to the era in which we live. Rather than treating concrete simply as an artistic medium, he works with it for the meanings it carries: as the world’s most widely used man-made material and one that has come to define modernity, concrete has profoundly shaped our landscapes, cities, architecture, infrastructure, and everyday lives, embodying the human desire to build, transform, and grow.
