Prototype Art

Founded in 1998 and active until 2005, Prototype Art was an important non-profit alternative art space in Tainan, and was jointly founded by Lee Kuen-lin, Wong Bang-rong, Lin Wen-chang, Hsieh Hung-ming, Yeh Chi-feng, and Chen Mei-shu. Initially located on Qingnian Road, the space provided a platform for young artists to create, exchange ideas, and exhibit their work. It subsequently operated at Wu Garden (2000-2002) and Dade Street (2002-2005), becoming an important site for the development of experimental art in Tainan.
