02 Environment Circuit
Forest of the Wild

About the work
Inspired by Tainan’s distinctive climate and natural patterns, this work explores the cycles of plant life and death, transformation, and evolution. We experience rain, light, shadow, and the movement of air through the leaves of old banyan trees, while subtropical island vegetation flourishes—swaying like the sea and overlapping like breaking waves. The project seeks to avoid disturbing the existing banyan tree roots, retain the original planting areas, and strengthen the multilayered vegetative structure with additional small native trees. Through these interventions, “Forest of the Wilds,” evokes a living landscape in which diverse forms of life coexist in harmony.
