Imaginary Secrets

About the work
Imaginary Secrets continues Yang Ming-dye’s exploration of the simple, elemental qualities of nature developed through his Water Garment and Grass Garment series. Using screen printing in combination with pulp, glass, conductive ink, and electroluminescent semiconductors, the artist has created ten suspended, rounded forms, which extend printmaking from a two-dimensional surface into three-dimensional space. Resembling leaves drifting across the surface of the sea, this work evokes a sense of lightness and fluid, poetic movement. By bringing together natural imagery and technological materials, it integrates Eastern aesthetics with Western techniques, expanding the visual possibilities of printmaking.
