Transformation 14AL1030 1034
About the work
The Transformation series reflects Liang Jen-hung’s ruminations on motion and the unpredictable conditions of life. The individual components of this work are connected by pivot points and rotate freely, continuously shifting and recombining like a living organism. The animal-like forms allude to natural organisms, while the stainless-steel surfaces reflect the surrounding environment. As viewers set the work in motion, they become part of the flow of natural energy. The soft, fluid movement of the mechanism contrasts with the cold, rigid qualities of metal, highlighting the constantly changing relationship between life and its environment and inviting reflection on how humans may coexist with nature in an unpredictable world.
