Ancient Mountain, 2012
01 Tainan Art Museum

Originating from the artist’s bird observations during her Tainan residency, this work explores urban life and the traces of human attempts to document nature. Birds moving through modern architecture, ancient temples, and daily routines overlap with historical bird catalog records. By transferring traditional field guide texts and illustrations onto paper—and weaving them with fabrics and threads—the piece interlocks time and material, allowing past records to meet present observations while reflecting on how memories are transmitted and sustained in new forms.
