TSURUーAwakening of Water, 2026
16 Fudu KIÀN TIÒK

Taking water as a relational medium of continuous flow and transformation, TSURU—Awakening of Water reflects the ever-evolving character of Tainan, shaped by its histories, cultures, and memories. The performance brings together Taiji, water, ink, sound, and mirrored surfaces, leaving traces that continually shift through the interaction between the body and material. After the performance, the kimono, crystal singing bowl, mirrored surfaces, and ink traces continue to transform over time through changes in light and the participation of viewers. The work is presented within a wooden art shipping crate, and incorporates memories of movement and transportation into the artistic process. In this way, time becomes part of the work itself, revealing a state of life that remains unfinished and continuously in the process of becoming.
